Middle East Medical Portal (MEMP) Management Team



Mr Nathan Nagel is a serial entrepreneur with 20 years’ experience on the commercial side of medicine. His executive experience includes: CEO at Gamlen Tableting Ltd, Board Adviser at the Mayfair Biohub Ltd, Interim Managing Director of the US liver disease CRO Sanyal Bio LLC, CEO of the Neuroscience Software R&D start-up Brain-e-Games Ltd, interim CEO of the neuroscience biotechnology company Neuro-Bio Ltd and CEO of the market research company Oncology Pharma Ltd. In parallel to leading Oncology Pharma Ltd Nathan was managing partner of LifeScience Ventures Ltd, a UK consulting company. Prior to leading companies Nathan worked for Bayer Diagnostics and Takeda Pharmaceuticals, where he started his career. Nathan lives in London, Dubai and extensively travels across the Middle East.


DR JULIAN STONE – Non-Executive Board Director 

Dr Julian Stone is a healthcare executive and serves on the board of several medical technology businesses. He has 30 years’ commercial experience with 20 years in medical technology, software, hardware, big data, and analytics. Dr Stone has led teams in both SME’S and multibillion-dollar corporates and has invested and mentored a wide variety of medical technology businesses. He holds a DBA and MBA. Dr Stone extensively travels across the Middle East.

Nick Claxton

MR NICK CLAXTON – Non-Executive Board Director 

Nick Claxton is a globally experienced commercial leader within the life sciences, biotech, and medical market sectors. His last 4 years have been working in the Middle East successfully establishing distributor networks. Mr Claxton has led teams within large blue-chip international organisations such as Becton Dickinson, Roche and Olympus, and SMEs. Mr Claxton has successfully managed mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures and has deep experience in change management after corporate transitions. Having had responsibility for the commercial part of the organisations, he has also directed technical and scientific teams due to his scientific background. Mr Claxton is Harvard University educated.


Elise manages all the technical and scientific aspects of the medical portal, manages all the back-office due diligence and supports the CEO. Elise’s career experience has been in scientific and digital roles in SME agencies. She has also has experience conducting both forensic research for the Scottish Police Authority and neurological research. Elise holds a BSc in Psychology, Forensics and Biology.


ALISON MAGNALL – Director of Nurse Education

Mrs Alison Magnall trained and worked in the NHS for over 25 years in General, Paediatric, and Community Nursing roles as well as in Clinical Governance and Strategic positions. Alison is currently an associate lecturer at Murdoch University Dubai teaching Bioethics and Law for healthcare in the postgraduate programme. She has kept in touch with her NHS roots through regular work in the UK, most recently in Adult Social Care and regulatory compliance. Her career in the UAE spans ten years achieving success in regulatory entities in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and with an Emergency Services operator, her main focus has been on Legislation, Regulation, Accreditation, Governance, Compliance and Policy. Alison also has a degree in English Language and Literature from Oxford University.


DR ASAWARI BAPAT – Director of Regulatory Affairs

Dr Asawari Bapat (Aasa) is the Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs, at Infohealth FZE, based in Dubai and US; a Global Consultant for medical labs and cellular therapies for excellence in quality, regulatory compliance, accreditations and certifications; International Ambassador, AABB (American Association of Blood Banks) for cellular therapies in the Middle East; Advisor to the Parents Guide to Cord Blood foundation; Ex-chair for laying down Cord Blood banking regulations in India associated with DCGI, ICMR India. Dr Bapat qualifications include M.B.B.S, D.P.B (CPS, Clinical Pathology), P.G.D.H.H.M (Hospital and Healthcare Management).


BASIT HAIDARI – Director of Saudi Arabia Team

Mr Haidari has 15 years commercial experience in different Global organisations, such as Bupa and Harley Street Clinics, in a broad range of projects such as protein aggregation in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease to digital bio sensor for the compliance of medication. Mr Haidari expertise are in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia government and authority relations, medical market research and brokering high-level meetings. Mr Haidari holds a BSc Hons in Human and Medical Sciences, PG Public Health Cert from Imperial College, London, and MBA in Healthcare.


DR KHALED MOHAMED ALY – Director of Emergency Medical Education 

Dr Khaled is an experienced ICU/Anesthesia Physician and specialist Emergency Medicine. He holds a range of qualifications including MBBCH; M.SC. Medicine – Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt. ACLS -EP; ATLS-SL (South Africa) Critical Care Course program – USA Disastrous Medicine; STEMI-certificate AHA Hospital Management and Infection Control Diplomas – Cairo University; Postgraduate Master Degree; research on musculoskeletal complications of long-term hemodialysis patients at the Faculty of Medicine,  Cairo University; Critical Care Course / Emergency Medical courses at Harvard University. He has worked as a Medical and Emergency Specialist around the world including Cote d’Ivoire,  Gabon,  Eritrea, Malaysia, and Egypt. Dr Khaled is the author of the Critical Care Professional Handbook and the Critical Care Therapeutics Handbook.


Dr Hina Naveed’s career history includes working at Saifee Hospital as the Hospital Pharmacist, Medistar Medical as Senior Pharmacist and as a Pharmacist in Al-Qemma Pharmacy. She has worked on the commercial side for many SMEs across the UAE and is an accomplished speaker and medical writer. Dr Naveed also writes medical articles, speaks at events, undertakes market research, and medical strategy writing and coordinates round table meetings. She holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) focused in medicine from Jinnah University. Dr Naveed lives in the UAE.



Dr Ashraf Abdelghany trained at Al-Azhar University School of Medicine, Egypt. Ashraf served as a Chairman and the Outreach Coordinator at the Egyptian Association of American Medical Training and Research (EAMTAR). He has worked in research at the Spanish National Cancer Research Center (CNIO) in Madrid. Additionally, he is affiliated with Health Security Partners (HSP) in Washington, DC where he finished a health security futures fellowship in May 2018. In June 2018, he was selected by the AAAS Center for Science Diplomacy as one of 28 future science diplomats from all over the world. Ashraf lives in Egypt.
