Clinical Fellowship Programme.
MEMP has an exclusive contract with NHS Trusts to offer doctors (physicians, surgeons, or anaesthetists) from outside the UK the opportunity to undertake a two-year Clinical Fellowship programme inside the NHS.
The Fellow will be embedded in their chosen department and assigned a dedicated consultant mentor who will monitor and review their progress and guide them in their learning and gaining clinical experience.
The Fellow will be a fully involved and active member of the clinical team and will see and manage patients under the guidance of the senior staff, attending multidisciplinary meetings, ward rounds, clinics, operating theatres etc. They will have every opportunity to take advantage of the range of formal teaching, lectures, Grand Rounds, and online training modules most NHS trust offer. Fellows are obliged to complete mandatory safety training.
The 2-year Clinical Fellowship programme has to be paid for upfront. It is often in the form of a government, hospital or company sponsoring a doctor so that they can learn and then return to their sponsor’s country.
